  • I have an e-collar / training collar.  Are these allowed in daycare?
YES! E-Collars / Training Collars are permitted. Staff is experienced for minimal use. Should you be in a training program, please inform our staff so we can carry these commands throughout the day.
  • What is the youngest age allowed at Preppy Paws?
3 Months (12 weeks) or approved by your vet. Daycare is a great way for puppies to get in the much needed socialization. Each puppy must be up-to-date on their vaccinations according to their age.
  • Do your packages expire?
Nope! You are free to use any package as you wish. They do not expire.
  • What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 6am to 6pm.
  • Do you have video cameras where we can watch our dogs?
No. We do not have video cameras for our customers to watch at this time. We post pictures frequently on Facebook so please follow us at: www.facebook.com/PreppyPawsNH
  • What do I need to do to get my dog enrolled?
After registration online, your dog will need a 1 hour temperament assessment. This is a drop-off appointment where we will introduce him or her to the daycare group one by one and find out if daycare is a good fit for them. We will watch their interaction to decide which group best suits them. Once your dog passes this assessment, you are free to leave him or her for a half or full day. After the initial temperament assessment, you are free to book his or her days online through our customer portal. Should your dog not pass the assessment, we will recommend training and a re-evaluation once that is complete. Please note, temperament tests may run longer than 1 hour. We will keep in contact with you via text to let you know when your dog is ready to be picked up. Temperament tests are scheduled Tuesday - Thursday only and billed at a half-day rate. Once registration is complete, you will then be able to book this appointment after speaking with a team-member.
  • What is a typical day at Preppy Paws like?
    • 6am - 10am: Dogs will be inside and outside frequently as this is our busiest arrival time • 10am-12pm: Dogs will be outside to play *weather dependent • 12pm-1pm: Naptime - cool down hour rotation (or until they tell us otherwise) • 1pm - 5pm: Dogs will be outside to play *weather dependent • 5pm - 6pm: Dogs will get prepared for pickup and go home to sleep! (Sometimes they don't even make it out of our reception area before taking a nap on the floor while you check out!) We will ask you at pick up what time (approximately) you will arrive to pick up your dog. This helps us organize the pick up process. We close at 6pm.
  • What is your outside play area and how often do the dogs go outside?
Our outside play area is a specialty turf manufactured specifically for dog daycares and dog parks. Turf = no mud and less ticks! We have three separate areas for divided groups (large, mid-size and small). Weather and group dependent, each group will get equal play time outside throughout the day. We try to keep them out as long as possible however, their rotations will be shorter on very hot days, very cold days and rainy days. Our staff is aware of daily temperatures and breeds with certain needs. Please note, on days with heavy rain, our outside area tends to get puddles. Storing a towel in your vehicle is a great idea just incase! We will do our best to bring the dogs in to give them dry time before pickup but it is not guaranteed.
  • Do you use crates?
We have exactly 10 crates. We use these for lunches, rest time (if clients wish) and time-outs. Dogs are not not left in crates for an extended period of time and are constantly monitored. A few of our daycare pups will want a few minutes of alone time and tend to walk right in and take a rest!
  • Do you require reservations?
Yes. Please reserve your dogs daycare day(s) online at our customer portal. If you are having problems booking daycare, please contact us at: 603.974.1831
  • What vaccinations does my dog need?
